Martin Pringle Attorney, George Bruce Announces Candidacy for Kansas’s Fourth Congressional District
George Bruce, an of counsel attorney with Martin Pringle is vying for Mike Pompeo’s Kansas 4th Congressional District seat if and when the congressman becomes director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Bruce announced his candidacy Tuesday morning during an event at the Petroleum Club.
“Partisan politics have become so toxic that it’s tearing us apart, rather than healing old wounds,” Bruce said in announcing his run for office in front of dozens of supporters, including many of his Martin Pringle colleagues.
Bruce said he will bring a private-sector approach to Congress if elected. He’s also advocating for limited government.
Bruce said his track record in business over the past 36 years equips him with a perspective representative of his constituents.
Bruce has been a practicing attorney with Martin Pringle since 1989 and served as the firm’s managing partner in 1996 and 1997. He has served in an of-counsel role since 1998.
He serves as the chairman and CEO of Wichita-based Aladdin Petroleum Co. and is on the board of directors for some of that company’s sister operations overseas. Additionally, Bruce is a board member for CrossFirst Holdings LLC, the holding company for CrossFirst Bank.
